170 L0ST OF CONTRIBUTORS Peter Roberts is Professor of linguistics at the University of the West Indies, Cave Hill. He has authored numerous articles as well as the books CXC English, West Indians and Their Language, and From Oral to Literate Culture, Colonial Experience in the English West Indies. His research interests are in the areas of Creole languages and language teaching and learning. Kim Robinson Walcott holds a Ph.D. in Literatures in English from the University of the West Indies, Mona. She is editor of Jamaica Journal, a publication of the Institute of Jamaica. Her book Out of Order! Anthony Winklerand White WestIndian Writing has been accepted for publication by the University of the West Indies Press. Charlotte Ward teaches in the Graduate Program in Translation at the University of Puerto Rico, Rio Piedras. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. at Harvard University. Her publications include: Ezra Pound, Forked Branches: Translations of Medieval Poems (1985) and Pound's Translations ofArnaut Daniel (1991). Stephen Wilkinson is a Research Fellow in the Department of History at University College, London.
