Sargasso 2002, II New Century/New Horizons: Emerging Scholars of Caribbean Literatures, Languages, and Cultures Sargasso, a journal of Caribbean literature, language, and culture edited at the University of Puerto Rico, publishes critical essays, interviews, book reviews, and some poems and short stories. Sargasso particularly welcomes material written by and/or about the people of the Caribbean region and its diaspora. Essays and critical studies should conform to the style of the MLA Handbook. Short stories should be no more than 2,500 words in length, and poems should be kept to no more than twenty to thirty lines. All correspondence must include S.A.S.E.
