SARGASSO 103 NOTES ON CONTRIBUTORS Aileen Alvarez is a professional translator and the librarian of the Lewis C. Richardson Seminar Room at the University of Puerto Rico. Maria Arrillaga teaches in the Spanish Department at the University of Puerto Rico. She has published poetry in English and Spanish and has specialized in feminist criticism. James Collins has been a professor in the English Department at the University of Puerto Rico for the past 25 years. He was drama critic for THE SAN JUAN STAR for 12 years and is the author of Stuffed Birds, a collection of poems. Christine Craig is from Jamaica and was tutor for the creative writing course at the University of the West Indies, Mona campus. She is the author of Quadrille for Tigers, a collection of poems. Lowell Fiet teaches in the English Department at the University of Puerto Rico and is the editor of Sargasso. Lorna Goodison is one of Jamaica's leading women poets. She is the author of Tamarind Season and I Am Becoming My Mother. Josemilio Gonzalez has been a professor in the Spanish and Comparative Literature Departments at the University of Puerto Rico for the past 30 years. He is a well known Puerto Rican critic and poet. Anthony Hunt is a Professor of English at the Mayaglez Campus of the University of Puerto Rico. His poems have been published in various literary magazines. Vincent Jubilee teaches in the English Department at the University of Puerto Rico. He is an Afro-American specialist and a free-lance writer. Myrsa Landr6n Bou works as a professional translator.
