A Bon-ferroni analysis showed that woodrats used saw-palmetto habitat more than would be expected and used fringe habitats less than would be expected (Table 17). Use of different micro-habitat types was otherwise similar to the proportion of the micro-habitats available (Byers and Steinhorst 1984). Micro-distribution observations via trapping are anecdotal, but trap success was consistently higher in ecotonal areas than in homogenous micro- or macrohabitats.
