of Caratasca in a short time, where I
had an appointment with General Robin-
son, and others of the Chiefs, to receive
some presents of stock, &c. &c..for Col,
B---, and came to anchor for the night.
I omitted to mention, that on getting
under weigh and hoisting our colours,
the inhabitants of Crata gave us a salute
of musquetry, which our small party in-
stantly returned.
 Monday, 14th.-Early this morning
General Robinson came on board our
vessel, and shortly afterwards I accom-
paniedhim onshore. Whilst the matters
I had to take with me were collecting, I
amused myself with a walk of about a
mile through a spacious savanna, and the
scenery on this side the Lagoon certainly
