Page 26B The Abaconian August 1, 2007 High School Thanks Abaco Club on Winding Bay By Jennifer Hudson Wishing to express his gratitude to the Abaco Club on Winding Bay for its continual support of Abaco Central High School, Prin- cipal of the school, Mr, Kendris Hield, vis- ited the Club on July 3 to present two plaques of appreciation. Receiving the plaques were Mr. Alberto Pirozzini, Managing Director, and Mr. Stone McEwan, Public Relations Director. Since its inception, the Abaco Club has reached out into the widespread community in many different ways. One of these ways has been to work hand in hand with the Ab- aco Central High School during the tenure of three different school Principals. On two oc- casions the Club has utilized 40-50 students of the school as golf caddies for their golf tournaments. The Club is hoping that this will become an ongoing part of their caddie programme and plans are being fine tuned. The Abaco Club has donated computers and sponsored trophies for the school, assisted with funds for Junior Junkanoo and recently hosted a luncheon at the Abaco Club for high achievers. Mr. McEwen was invited to be a keynote speaker at a school function which he deemed an honour.
