Over the years the Anglican Church has been blessed by the support of the public and Father Hep- burn wants to thank everyone for their pa- tronage over the years. Many members of the church committed countless hours to preparing for this event and all of the work paid off. The event was well supported by the public and there was a constant flow of people throughout the day. They had booths for face painting, fritters, Father Hepburn’s famous daiqui- ris, a bouncing castle, ribs, fish and chick- en dinners and much more. From Page 23 The St. John = the Baptist Anglican Church held its annual fair on Change Ministries’ Women’s Conference By Samantha V. Evans My Baby is Leaping was the theme under which Change Ministries held its women’s conference on July 11-13th at the church in Murphy Town. The speakers for the event were Pastor Helene McPhee from Agape Full Gospel Baptist Church in Nassau, Pas- tor Samuel Cornish, host pastor, and Pastor Darlene Bishop from Solid Rock Church in Munroe, Ohio. The three-night event was well supported by locals from all across Abaco and guests from Nassau and Andros. Many pastors and their spouses supported the event each evening and were blessed by the event, especially since this was a wom- en’s conference. The first night Pastor Helene McPhee told the attendees that all of them were created by mS ey July 14 to raise money for church expenses. Hence, it is important that they love themselves first before they try to love someone else. She reminded them that God prizes them and wants only the best for them but they must put Him first in their lives. She told the men to respect their wives, honor them and not abuse them. She told the women that they do not have to put up with a man abusing them, there is help out there. She stated that the church must do its part to help women in need. On Thursday evening Pastor Samuel Cornish addressed the conference. He spoke to single women and wives especially. He told the single women that they need not be ashamed because they are single. He told the wives they must be prepared to please their men in every possible way. The final night, July 13th, Pastor Darlene Bishop addressed the conference. She stated Change Ministries 1 n Murphy Town held a Women’s Confer- ence on July 11-13. One of the guest speakers was Pastor Darlene Bishop of Solid Rock Church in Munroe, Ohio, who autographed copies of her book after the conference. that prayer is very important in order for God to bless His people. She told everyone to evaluate their lives by asking themselves what they have done with the years they have already spent and what they plan to do now with the time they have left.
