Era Dupuch Real Estate Expands Citing growth in interest in Family Is- land property, ERA Dupuch Real Estate this week announced the appointment of additional BREA-licensed sales associates in several Family Islands. “We are pleased to announce the expan- sion of ERA Dupuch Real Estate in Span- ish Wells, Eleuthera, Hope Town, Abaco and Exuma and Long Island,” said Peter Dupuch, founder of the company. The move to boost Family Island coverage be- gan last year when it opened its first Abaco office. That office, staffed by Donna and James Rees, is in the Stratton Building in A straw stall showed up at Crossing Beach on the night of July 9 and was open for busi- ness selling straw goods the next morning. However, the Marsh Harbour Town Com- mittee had previously made it clear that there will be no booths or Stalls selling food or souvenirs in the area. There is so much traffic confusion there that they do not want to increase the traffic or chaos by allowing businesses to set up shop. The stall was removed several days later. Albury’s Ferry Service obtained a lease from Crown Lands many years ago to build their office. Recently Abaco Ferry constructed an office to accommodate their passengers. The traffic and parking situation in the area is a major problem facing the town and contnues to become worse as the Central Abaco economy grows . 1568 & 2108 square feet living 252 square foot covered porch Truly Spacious! 3 & 4 bedrooms available 15 ft. dock slip included | Private garage included — > Large Owner Lock-Up Rental option available Privacy - only 2 condos per building All condos with water views Turn-key Packages Available Cathedral 9-foot-high ceilings Metal Roof Stainless Steel Appliances Granite Countertops Travertine Tile Throughout — Marsh Har- bour. Recent appointments include a third Abaco representa- tive, Ricky Sweeting, for Hope Town. While the real estate market in Nassau and Paradise Island has been strong, the real change in the industry is the explosion of interest in the Family Islands,” said Mr. Dupuch. Much of the interest, he noted, is among Bahamians. In each case where ERA Dupuch added an agent, the firm identified a Bahamian who had not only earned a BREA license, but had strong community ties and thor- ough knowledge of local settlements, prop- erties and market trends. “Tt’s a common thread throughout the islands,” explains Dupuch, “to add real estate as a profession to a list of earlier accomplishments. It makes sense because the person has built a reputation, is trusted in the community, knows the product. We hope with associates nearly from one end of the archipelago to the other, we will be in the best position to serve clients whether they want beachfront on Eleuthera or farm land on Long Island.” Scotia Bank welcomes a new manager By Samantha V.
