¥ESUS IN GETHSEMANE. 155, “« And he went a little further, and fell on his face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless, not as [ will, but as thou wilt.’—Matt., Xxvi: 309. Where did Jesus go to pray? In the garden of Gethsemane. What is meant by the cup of suffering? The burden of our sins in his death on the cross.. Why did he take our sins upon himself? Because it was his Father's will. - Why was it the will of God? It was the only way we could be saved. What showed his great agony? His bloody sweat. Who came to comfort him? The angel of God. How may we have the same comfort ? By perfect submission to God’s will. How may we know his will? By the word of God. KOKBATLORGOAG AGA MATTHEW, 26:
