“And he shall lay his hand upon the head of the sin

offering, and slay it for a sin offering in the place
where they kill the burnt offering.’ — Levit. iv: 33.

What did God command the Jews to do when they
had broken the law?

They were to bring an offering of blood.

What was this offering to be?

An animal without blemish.

Why was it to be without blemish ?

Because it represented the perfect Christ.

By whom was the sacrifice offered ?

By God's chosen priest.

What was done for the man who brought the
offering ?

His sins were forgiven.

Why don't we have to bring a blood offering now?

Because Jesus Christ has died for us.

How are our sins forgiven ?

By accepting this same Jesus as our Savior.
