APPENDIX C HUPLAZ-2 PROGRAM The HUPLAZ-2 program calculates the composition of a mixed hydrogen-uranium plasma as a function of plasma pressure, temperature and mixing ratio. The mixing ratio, R, is defined as R - particle density of all hydrogen species particle density of all uranium species The uranium and hydrogen partition functions are calculated using the methods described in Appendices A and B. Corrections for the lowering of ionization potentials are included. The individual plasma species are computed in terms of particle density, partial pressure, and per cent of total particles. The input data consist of one card per case containing the pressure, temperature, and mixing ratio in 3E12.6 format as follows: Columns 1-12 P (atmospheres) Columns 13-24 T (1K) Columns 25-36 R (hydrogen density/uranium density) Multiple cases can be run consecutively by stacking one data card per case. - 198 -
