AN ACT TO AEND SUBSECTION (5) OF SECTION

236.07, FLORIDA STATUTES, RELATING TO SCHOOL

FINANCES BY PROVIDING AN APPORTIONMENT FROM

THE STATE FOUNDATION PROGRAM FUND IN AID OF

COUNTY SCHOOL LUNCHES.

BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF FLORIDA:

Section 1. Section 236.07(5), Florida Statutes, is
amended to read:

236.07 Procedure for determining annual apportion-
ment to each countz.--The procedure for determining the ap-
portionment annually to each county from the foundation
program funds shall be as follows: . .

(5) DETERMINING THE AMOUNT FOR CURRENT EXPENSES OTHER
THAN INSTRUCTIONAL SALARIES AND TRANSPORTATION.-Multiply
the number of instruction units determined for each county
according to law'by three hundred dollars and to this amount
shall be added seven (7) cents per school lunch served to
be used in meeting the costs of the school lunch program
in schools approved by the state board of education and
this product shall be the amount included for current ex-
pense other than instructional salaries and transportation;
provided, that the state board shall have authority to es-
tablish minimum standards to be met by county boards in

eXDanding funds for other current expenses.

Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1953.
