l have received your letter dated August 5
1960, enclosing a copy of a letter dated August 1. 1960,
from Mr. Bruce Garwood Jr., Ocala, Florida, addressed
to Mr. R. B. Lochrie oi your office.

In response to your inquiry i must advise
that Freedoa in Action has not been the subject of an
investigation by the FBI. I regret therefore that
I am unable to furnish any information concerning this
organization which can be made available to your
constituent. The fact that this Bureau has not investi-
gated this organization. however should not be construed
