Florida Dear Mr. Bryant: I thank you for your fine letter of June 14th. 1960. and you may depend upon our support and encouragement. When you have the opportunity and before the next meeting of the Legislature. I would like to discuss with you certain features of the present eminent domain law, which I think could be amended to the benefit of both the state and the property owners. we have been in this work for many years and see the inequities that are present in the application of the present law. and we would like the opportunity to call them to your attention with the end in view that they might be correct- ed. with the tremendous amount of construction work that is go- ing on now in our state. it is vitally essential that our citi- zens not become, in effect. displaced persons. as is often the case. particularly when they are old and living on pensions or social security. I am quite sure that arrangements cauld be made to treat these people much better than is being done at the present time. With very best wishes. I am. EPPB:£8
