A group of legislators, a representative of governor-nominee Farris Bryant and a representative of Plorida cabinet member Ray Green have met today with the rlorida congressional delegation to discuss plans for an aggressive campaign of community and state-wide Democratic candidates in november. and to discuss the advisability of holding a special session of the Florida Legislature to place independent electors on the ballot. The group discussed with the Florida congres- sional delegation the development of a statement of principle setting forth their further conserva- tive philosophies of government that will insure the continued development of Florida. Such a statement of principle is to constitute a platform upon which all Florida Democratic candidates can wage a vigorous and successful campaign in tlorida. This meeting followed a similar meeting of State Democratic leaders in Talk hassee on Tuesday, and follows along the same line of reasoning. These plans will be revealed by governor-nominee Farris Bryant as they are more fully developed. While in Washington meeting with the congressional delegation, and at their request, a group met with Senators Kennedy and Johnson. The entire plitical situation in Florida was discussed along the "rlorida.Democratic Platform?, and the principles on which the State candidates will run in the Fall. no decisions were reached at either of the meetings as to any of the matters discussed, includ- ing the plan for a special session, and any further statement with reference to the latter subject will come only after a return to Florida and a full discussion of the same with the rlorida Legislature.
