Dear Farris:

Committee appointments by you as released have been
favorably received here. I hope that this action puts enough
pressure on Senator Johns to force him to release some of his.

In rechecking George's letter to you, I neglected to tell you
one thing which we had agreed upon: that is, that at the time
the three of as set to tentatively agree on committee cmnge,
I advised George that in all probability you had lads tentative
plans on committee selections, and that we should not try to
bid yen by our decision.

Therefore, I requested that the letter contain a
parsgnph to the affect that the comittees selected by all of us were
those Ihioh Ie felt we should serve on from the stamipcdut of service
to our County, and that which one of us served on those comitteee

was of secondary concern.
