Enclosed you will find the list of Legislative
Committees with my preferences indicated
thereon in accordance with your request.

I realize the magnitude of your task in
making these assignments so I will make my
explanatory remarks as brief as possible and

let you use your emu Judgment in making my
assignments.

1. Public Roads and Highwazs.

As you naturally realize, Ferris, the
present road building program here is of
great economic importance to Duval County.
I also feel that since Jacksonville is the
geOgraphic gateway to the State of Florida
the state wide road building pregram is of
particular importance to us.

2. Rules and Calendar.

 

In that I am the only attorney serving in
the Duval House Delegation this session, I
feel that I would be of more service on this
committee than I would be on either of the other
eo-celled "big committees".

3. RailroadsI Telegraph and Teleghone.

I believe that I would particularly enjoy
and be or benefit on this committee in that both
myself and my father have legal background in
this type or work.

4. Motor Vehicles and Carriers.

On this committee I can also cite the same
reason as above and I also feel that the work
involved is of particular importance to Duvel
County as one of the centers of motor vehicle
transportation in the state or Florida.

In addition to the above reasons I have also
tried to indicate as my preference committees
in which I believe I would be interested and
enjoy the work. I am or course leaving a
greet deal to your own judgment due to my
lack of experience and limited knowledge of
the committee functions.
