In reading the rlorida Times Onion last week I noted that Pledge Gay of Jacksonville Beach announced that you would be in Jackson- ville on August 5th, 6th and 7th to meet with various campaign workers. It is my hope that we can arrange this breakfast at the George Washington Botel on one of the mornings that you will be in Jacksonville. Please consider this an invitation and if you will be so kind as to let me kn0w which morning would be most convenient, I will inmadiately make plans with the hotel and advise the Younger Democrats for Farris Bryant of Duval County of the occasion. Alice and I are so appreciative of the thoughtful letters sent to us with thanks for our work in the campaign. We all are very proud of you in Duval County and look forward to four progressive years of your administration. I have tried to contact Pledge Gay today but was unable to reach him but I will let both he and David Poerster know of our plans Honorable Farris Bryant July 5, 1960 Page Two as soon as possible. Yburs very truly, R. JOhn Crider, Assistant Chairman Younger Democrats For Farris Bryant for Duval County WC:jd cc: Pledge Gay, Esq. cc: David Foerster, Esq.
