Report of My observations in Talhassee Fla. April 1%
thru and including April 17,1959

Hr. Beasley and Mr. Johnson were the only legislators

in attendance at the legislative Ball In addition the
people of the State who would usually attend such a function
were conspicious by their absence .

Mr. Carlton introduced the controversial
central purchasing bill Labor and management oppose
central purchas g for fear that out of state products
will be purchas in preference to lorkda made products .
Ralph Siller the present ExecutiveDirector of the Purchasin
Commission is fearful that this bill would spell his doom .
Chalk up one for our side He told He that it looked like
Farris Bryant was His only hope I have not revealed my
position to Him yet But I keep needlng Him avout You .
