Availability of Cited References USDA Employees. Books will be sent on loan; photocopy of journal articles or non-circulating publications will be sent in lieu of loan. Submit requests on Form AD-245 (5/78) which is available from an agency procurement office. USDA employees in a state participating in the Regional Document Delivery System should send the requests through their state land-grant institutions (see list on back). Employees in other states may send requests directly to: Lending Branch, TIS/SEA, National Agricultural Library Bldg., Beltsville, MD 20705. NON-USDA Requestors. Requestors are expected to use the resources of their local state or national libraries before sending requests to the National Agricultural Library. Individuals should arrange for loans through their nearest library as loans are made only to other libraries. Individuals may request photocopy on USDA Form LF-607 which can be requested in advance from the Library. Requests sent through university libraries, information centers and commercial organization libraries should be submitted on the American Library Association or International Interlibrary request form. TWX messages are accepted (710-028-0506). Requests for photocopy will not be processed without a statement that the request complies with copyright regulations. Loans: Materials are loaned for one month; renewals for an additional month may be requested if the request is received before the due date. All loans are sent first class and should be returned in the same manner. Restrictions to loans: The following materials will not be loaned: serials and journals (except USDA serials), proceedings of conferences or symposia, rare or reserve books, reference books, or micoforms. Only monographs published in the U.S. will be lent to libraries in other countries. Photocopy rates are: Electrostatic copy: $2 for each 10 pages or fraction copied from a single article or publication Microfilm (35 mm): $1 for each 30 pages or fraction copied from a single article or publication. Invoices for completed work will be sent twice yearly. Do NOT send payment with requests. NOTE: Once a request has been accepted and processing has begun, the requests cannot be cancelled. Any request placed is regarded as binding on the part of the requestor and appropriate charges will be made.
