* Next try painting good sized patches all over the paper, being careful not to go over a stroke a second time. Use plenty of very wet paint on the brush. Tip the paper slightly so the color will run. Remember not to go over it or touch it again with the brush. If too much paint has collected at the bottom of the area, you may squeeze out the brush and use it as a blotter at the bottom edge to pick up the surplus. * Observing these technical limitations, painting with water color is the same as painting with tempera.
