WHEREAS by section 7 of the Bank Holidays Ordinance, Cap. 161, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council from time to time, by Proclamation in the Gazette, to appoint a special day to be observed as a Bank Holiday throughout the Colony; AND WHEREAS I, by and with the advice of the Executive Council. deem it fit and proper that Monday, the 8th day of March, 1954, should be observed as a. Bank Holiday throughout the Colony: Now, I, by and with the advice aforesaid, do hereby appoint Monday the 8th day of March, 1954, to be observed as a Bank Holiday throughout the Colony.
