WHEREAS by section 7 of the Bank Holidays Ordinance, Cap. 161, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Governor in Council from time to time, Dy Proclamation in the Gazette, to appoint a special day to be observed as a Bank Holiday throughout the Colony: Now THEREFORE I do, with the advice of the Executive Council, and pursuant to the authority in me vested by the said Ordinance, hereby appoint Tuesday, the 2nd day of March 1954, to be observed as a Bank Holiday throughout the Colony. GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of the Island of Saint Vincent at the Government Office in the said Island this 12th day of February in the year of Our Lord One Thousand Nine Hundred and Fifty-four and in the Third Year of the Reign of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth the Second.
