33 SAINT VINCENT. ( STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS, 1973, No. 12. PUBLIC TELEPHONES (AMENDMENT) REGULATIONS. (Gazetted 10th April, 1973.) 1. Short title, These Regulations may be cited as the Public Telephones (Amendment) Regulations, 1973, and shall be read as one with the Public Telephones Regulations, 1969, as contained in the Schedule to the Public Tele- phones Ordinance, 1969, (No. 1 of 1969) (hereinafter referred to as the principal Regulations) and all amendments thereto. 2. Regulation 5 Amended. Regulation 5 of the principal Regulations is hereby amended as follows:- (a) by deleting the word "quarter" appearing in paragraph (1) and substituting therefore the word "month". (b) by revoking and replacing paragraph (2) with the following:- (2) If a subscriber fails to pay any rental fee deposit or other charge for telephone service (including International Telephone Service) as required under these Regulations the company may without prejudice to any other right or remedy, without notice, wholly or in part suspend telephone service provided by means of all or any of the subscriber's installations and if it shall think fit so to do disconnect all or any such installations frpm the Telephone Exchange. (c)' by inserting a new paragraph (4) as follows:- (4) The Company may from time to time require the payment of a deposit of such amount as it thinks necessary by way of security for the payment of the rental or other charges payable or to become payable by the subscriber and the subscriber shall pay such deposit within such time as the Company may require. The Company may retain such deposit so long as the installation continues to be pro- vided for the subscriber. A deposit paid and held under this Para- graph shall not reduce the subscriber's responsibility under Paragraph 5 (1) and except at the discretion of the Company the sum so held as I7n.
