(MIHA/PRI/008) No. 7. TRAINING IN PRINTING MANAGEMENT Applications are invited from suit- ably qualified persons for training in Printing Management in the United Kingdom. 2. Applicants should be between the ages of 25 and 38 and should pos- sess G.C.E. '0' Level (or its equivalent) in at least four (4) subjects, including English Language and Mathematics or Science. Previous experience at a supervisory level would be an asset. 3. A suitable candidate with the requisite academic qualifications and supervisory potential, but without ex- perience in printing techniques, would be required to undergo a period of training by attachment to the Govern- ment Printing Office, prior to pursu- ing training in Printing Management in the United Kingdom. During this period (minimum six months) the applicant would be designated Super- numerary Printing Officer. 4. -The Course in the U.K. is of two to three years' duration, depending on the experience and aptitude of the student. 5. The successful candidate will be required to sign a Bond, with sureties, to return to work in the service of the State for a specified period. 6. During training, salary will be- in scale V38-25: $1,800 x $120- $2,520 x $180-$3,600 x $240-$3,840f and after successful completion of the- course, salary will be in scale V19-17:: $5,400 x $300-$6,000. 7. Applications in writing, together with two recent testimonials and proof of educational qualifications, should be- addressed to the Chief Personnel Offi- cer, Service Commissions Department,. Kingstown, to reach him not later than 1st February, 1972. Applications from persons already in the Government Service should be submitted through Heads of Departments and Permanent Secretaries. 8.
