109 SAINT VINCENT. STATUTORY RULES AND ORDERS, 1970, No. 37. PORT OFFICERS ORDINANCE (LICENSING) REGULATIONS, 1970. (Gazetted 16th June, 1970). 1. Short title. These Regulations may be cited as the Port Officers Ordinance (Licensing) Regulations, 1970. 2. Licences required for performances of certain work. No porter, stevedore or ships-chandler shall in any port area perform or offer or agree to perform any work or service unless licensed in that behalf by the Port Officer. Licences may be issued by the Port Officer upon application and payment of a fee of one dollar which shall be paid into the Consolidated Fund. All licences under these Regulations shall expire on the thirty-first day of December in each year. 3. Badges to be worn by persons licensed. Every licensed porter, stevedore or ships-chandler shall be entitled to be issued by the Port Officer with a badge and shall wear such badge on all occasions when in the port area. Failure to wear such badge or parting with possession of such badge shall be guilty of an offence. 4. Forfeiture of licences. Any porter, stevedore or ships-chandler who is convicted of any offence of dishonesty or is convicted of any offence com- mitted within the port area, or is without reasonable excuse in breach of Regulation 3 hereof, may on the order of the Port Officer forfeit his licence issued under these Regulations.
