WHEREAS by section 7 of the Bank Holidays Ordinance, Cap. 161, it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Administrator in Council from time to time, by Proclamation in the Gazette, to appoint a special day to be observed as a Bank Holiday throughout the Colony: AND WHEREAS it is meet that a day should be set apart at the close of the Hurricane Season for General Thanksgiving for our preservation from the elements and for other blessings vouchsafed to us to be duly observed in all Churches, Chapels and other places of worship: Now THEREFORE I do, in accordance with the advice of the Executive Council, and pursuant to the authority in me vested by the said Ordinance, hereby appoint Monday, the 13th day of November, 1967, to be observed as a Bank Holiday throughout the Colony, so that it may be set apart for General Thanksgiving as aforesaid. GIVEN under my hand and the Public Seal of Saint Vincent this 9th day of October in the Year of Our Lord One thousand nine hundred and sixty-seven and in the Sixteenth year of the Reign of Her Majesty QUEEN ELIZABETH THE SECOND.
