SAINT VINCENT. RULES AND ORDERS, 1956, No. 1. --- YOUNG'S ISLAND (RENTAL AND CONTROL) RULES. (Gazetted 5th June, 1956.) 1. Short title. These Rules may be cited as the Young's Island (Rental and Control) Rules, 1956. 2. Interpretation. In these Rules- "the buildings" means the Government Observation Station and the Isolation Hospital at Young's Island; "Superintendent" means the Superintendent of Public Works. 3. Rental of buildings. (1) The buildings, or either of them, may be rented upon the terms and conditions hereinafter set out when they are not in use. (2) Applications for the hire, of one or both of the buildings shall be made by the intending hirer in writing addressed to the Superintendent and every such application shall be subject to the approval of the Administrator. (3) Rent shall be at the rates set out in the Schedule hereto and shall be paid in" advance to the Superintendent together with a deposit of ten dollars to cover any damage to or loss of Government property for which the hirer may become liable under the provisions of these Rules. (4) Every person whose application to rent one or both of the buildings has been granted shall, before occupying the buildings, pay to the Superintendent the following charges:- For the use of a boat and the services of a boatman- For a day only or part of a day ...... ...... ...... ...... ...... $1.25 For each day after the first and up to the ninth ...... ...... .40 For periods over nine days and up to a month ...... ...... ...... 5.00 For electrical current consumed- . Picnic parties. The Superintendent may in his discretion, upon application made to him in writing in that behalf, grant permission to any number of persons to land on Young's Island and to use the Island and one or both of the buildings for picnic purposes between sunrise and sunset of any day upon payment in advance of two dollars and fifty cents in addition to the charge X specified under paragraph (4) of rule 3 fpr the use of a boat and the services of boatman.
