Sir, I have the honour to submit hereunder- my report on the accounts of the Colony for the year 1954, together with the necessary detailed statements in , support. The Estimates for the year 1954 showed, an anticipated deficit of $415,000 which was met by a Grant-in-aid of a similar amount. 2. The actual result at the end of the year was a surplus of $163,925 exclusive of C.D.W. REVENUE. 3. The Colony's Ordinary Revenue had been estimated at $1,961,764 as compared with actual receipts of $2,047,957. As shown in the Table hereunder, Import Duties, Other Duties, Taxes, Other Fees of Courts etc., and Sales of Crown Lands accounted for 99% of the increase of $86,193. Appendices II and III of this report show these increases in greater detail.
