AND IN THE MATTER of a Declaration by the Governor in Council that a certain portion of land at Layou in the Parish of Saint Patrick should be acquired for a public purpose: DECLARATION OF ACQUISITION OF LAND. (SECOND PUBLICATION) WHEREAS it is enacted by Section 3 of the Land Acquisition Ordinance (No. 22 of 1946), that if the GoCernor in Council consider that any land should be acquired for a public purpose he may cause a declaration to that effect to be made. AND WHEREAS it is considered by the Governor in Council that the undermen tioned land should be acquired for a public purpose to wit the construction thereon of a Government Stud Centre: Now IT Is HEREBY DECLARED by His Excellency the Governor acting by and with the consent of the Executive Council of the Colony of Saint Vincent, .that uport the second publication of the Declaration in the Gazette all that piece or parcel of land situate at Layou in the Parish of St. Patrick containing 2 acres, 1 rood and 3 poles, and bounded on the South-West by the Leeward Highway leading from Layou to Barrouallie, on the North-West by a Public Road leading to Palmiste Park, and on the South, South-East and East by the Layou River shall be acquired for the above-mentioned purpose and shall vest absolutey in the Crown: AND IT IS HEREBY FURTHER DECLARED AND NOTIFIED that the Plan showing the above-mentioned land has been drawn up and prepared on 27th September, 1955, by Mr. E. Stinson Campbell, Licensed Land Surveyor, and may be inspected at all reasonable hours at the Surveys Office in the town of Kingstown in the said Colony. 29th November, 1955. (B. 24/1949).
