AN ORDINANCE to provide for the regulation of the conditions of employment in factories and other places as regards the health, safety and welfare of persons employed therein, for the safety and inspection of certain plant and machinery, and for purposes incidental to, or connected with matters aforesaid. [ On Proclamation. ] Enacted by the Legislature of Saint Vincent. 1. (1) This Ordinance may be cited as the Factories Short title Ordinance, 1955. Commencement (2) This Ordinance shall come into operation on such date as and Saving. the Governor may by Proclamation published in the Gazette appoint. (3) Except where otherwise expressly provided, the provisions of this Ordinance shall be in addition to, and not in substitution for or diminution of, the provisions of any other Ordinance.
