The Secretary of State for Commonwealth Relations, in consultation with the High Commissioner, Basutoland, the Bechuanaland Protectorate and Swazi- land, has selected Mr. E. P. ARROWSMITH, C.M.G., Administrator of Dominica, for appointment as Resident Commissioner, Basutoland. Mr. ARROWSM1TH was born in 1909, and educated at Cheltenham College and Trinity College, Oxford. He was appointed Assistant District Conmmissioner, Bechuanaland Protectorate in 1932, Commissioner, Turks and Caicos Islands in 1940, and Administrator, Dominica in 1946.
