To THE RETURNING OFFICER
 OF THE ELECTORAL DISTRICT OF
 Whereas by subsection (1) of section 20 of the Legislative Council (Elections)
Ordinance, 1951, it is provided that for the purposes of every general election of
members of the Legislative Cpuncil, and for the purposes.-f the election of
members to supply vacancies' caused by death, resignation, or otherwise, the
Governor shall issue writs under' the Public Seal of the Colony, addressed to the
Returning Officers of the respective electoral districts for which Members are to be
returned :
 t And Whereas I think it expedient that writs should be issued for the election
 of members to serve in the Legislative Council :
 t And Whereas the seat of the Elected Member for the Electoral District of
 ............................ ................................. has become vacant in consequence of

 Administrator as aforesaid, do hereby require that, notice of the time and place
 fixed for the nomination of candidates having been first duly given as required by
 law, you do on the day of ~ at

 the said Electoral District and that, if necessary, you do cause, a poll to be taken_
