(4) In determining the boundaries of any polling, divisions, the Supervisor of Elections shall have regard to geographical' considerations and such other factors as may affect the facility of communication between various places within the polling division. 8. (1) The Supervisor of Elections shall appoint fit and proper persons as Registration officers. Registration Officers. (2) The Supervisor of Elections may appoint fit and proper persons to assist a Registration officer in the performance of his duties under this Ordinance. (3) Subject to the authority, directions and control of the Supervisor of Elections, an assistant, other than an enumerator, shall have all the powers and may perform any of the duties of a registration officer under this Ordinance. (4) There shall be paid to each registration officer and to each assistant for his services under this Ordinance such remuneration as may be prescribed. - (5) Every registration officer shall, before entering on his duties as such, take and subscribe an oath in the form set out as Form No. 46 in the First Schedule and shall transmit such oath to the Supervisor of Elections. 9.- It shall be the duty of the registration officer to compile' Registration the lists of electors for his- district in accordance with the- duties. provisions of this Ordinance and the Rules-set out in the Second 2nd Schedule. Schedule. 10. (1) Where more.than one polling station is established Division of list. for any polling division, the returning officer shall divide the printed list of electors for the polling division into as many separate lists as there are polling stations in the polling division. (2) Where any list is required to be divided in accordance with the provisions of subsection (1) of this section, in any case . to which the provisions of rule 8 of the Registration Rules, contained in the Second SChedule\to this Ordinance and relating to enumeration of electors apply, it shall be divided alphabetically by being- cut through between the last name thereon commencing with one letter of the alphabet and the first name thereon commencing with the next succeeding letter of the alphabet; (3) Where any list is divided alphabetically in accordance with the provisions of this section, there shall be displayed at the polling station to which any division of the list relates the initial letter of the first and of the last of the names ppon such division of the list.
