(Morocomarca) 5-3.24.4 Morphophonemics of personal possessive suffixes In most dialects the morphophonemics of personal possessive suffixes are variable (see 4-5.3 and below). In Sitajara 4p -sa always takes a preceding con- sonant in a manner analogous to the shape of the 4p pro- noun in that dialect, jiwsa, and the other three personal possessives require a preceding consonant when occurring on certain forms nominalized with -ta (see 7-4.21.3). In Morocomarca the four personal possessive suffixes require a preceding consonant unless a stem-final consonant cluster would thereby result, in which case the suffixes require a preceding vowel.
