(1) Every assurance company shall, once in every five years, or at such shorter intervals as may be specified in the instrument constituting the company, or in its regulations or byelaws, cause an investigation to be made into its financial condition, including a valuation of its liabilitie. by an actuary, and shall cause an abstract of the report of such actuary to be made in the form or forms prescribed and applicable to the class or classes of assurance business carried on by the company (2) The foregoing provisions of this section shall also apply whenever at any other time an investigation into the financial condition of an assurance company is made with a view to the distribution of profits, or the results of which are made public. 8.
