Short title. 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Muslim Marriage
and Divorce Registration Ordinance.
PART I.
GENERAL.
Definitions. 2. In this Ordinance—
district means a Muslim Marriage District con-
stituted under section 3,
‘“‘ Divorce Officer ’’ means a person appointed to be a
Muslim Divorce Officer in accordance with section 5;
“Marriage Officer’’ means a_ person appointed to
be a Muslim Marriage Officer in accordance with
section 5;
‘“ Registrar ’’ means a Registrar of Muslim Marriages
appointed under section 4;
‘“ Registrar General means the Registrar General
of Muslim Marriages and Divorces appointed under
section 4.
