Elections ( Amendment)

(ii) by inserting the words “ official
member appointed by name and every”
between the words ‘‘ Every ” and “nominated”
in subsection (2);

(iii) by substituting in. subsection (4)
the words “ An official member appointed by
name or a nominated member” for the words
“ A nominated member” and inserting the
words ‘official member appointed by name
or” between the words “The seat of any
such’? and the words “ nominated member ”
in the said subsection.

Amendment 7 3. Subsection (1) of section 16 of the
secti 1 oe ‘ 1 1

tho Principal Principal Ordinance is hereby amended as
Ordinance. follows:—

(i) by substituting the following para-
graphs for paragraphs (6) and (c):—

‘*(b) an official member appointed
by reference to his office is lawfully
discharging the functions of another
official member; or

“(¢) an official member is appointed
by reference to his office and no person is
lawfully discharging the functions of that
office; or”;

(ii) by deleting paragraph (a);

(iii) by inserting the words “an official
or” before the words ‘a nominated member ”’

in paragraph (f); and

(iv) by relettering paragraphs (e), (7),
(y) and (i) as paragraphs (a), (¢), (ff) and

(q) respectively.
