An Ordinance to amend further the Interpretation
of Laws Ordinance, 1898.

ENACTED by the Legislature of the Virgin
Islands.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the short title.
Interpretation of Laws (Amendment) Ordinance,
1955, and shall be read as one with the Inter-
pretation of Laws Ordinance, 1898, as amended, 1/189.
hereinafter called the Principal Ordinance. en
2. Section 18 of the Principal Ordinance is Amendment
hereby amended by the substitution of the —
following for paragraph (6) thereof:— Principal
- Ordinance.
“(6) The expression ‘‘ Governor ” means
the officer for the time being administering
the Government of the Leeward Islands, and
shall include the Commissioner of the Virgin
Islands when he is administering the Govern-
ment of the Virgin Islands. ”
