An Act to amend further the Pensions Act, 1947.

ENACTED by the Legislature’ of the Lee-
ward Islands.

1. This Act may be cited as the Pensions
(Amendment) Act, 1956, and shall be read as one
with the Pensions Act, 1947, as amended, herein-
after called the Principal Act.

2. (1) Subsection (1) of section 2 of the
Principal Act is hereby amended by the substitution
of the following for paragraph (a) of the definition
of the expression “ pensionable emoluments ”—

(a) in respect of service in the Colony,
includes salary, personal allowance, house
allowance, and, in the case of a teacher, any
charge pay that may be paid to such teacher
when in charge of a government elementary
school,. but does not include duty allowance,
entertainment allowance or any other emolu-
ments whatever; ”’
