Section 75 of the Principal Ordinance is hereby amended as follows: (a) by the substitution of the following for subsection (1)— ‘““(1) Subject to the provisions of subsection (6) of section 50 of this Ordinance the Traffic Commissioner may cause or permit traffic signs to be placed on or near any road and may authorise the retention of any traffic signs erected prior to the passing of the Vehicles and Road Traffic (Amendment) Ordinance 1954.” (6) by the substitution of the following for subsection (7)— (7) Subject to the provisions of subsection (6) of section 50 of — this Ordinance, that area or road or portion of wu road to which a traffic sign applies shall be deemed to be determined for the purpose of this Ordinance when the indication given by the sign is sufficiently clear from the sign itself as being in a forin commonly understood by drivers or others to whom it is directed or when the indication of the portion of the road to which the traffic sign is to apply is given by the erection of signs at each end of tht, portion of the road: Provided that in the case of any sign prohibiting the passage of vehicles ou any road, signs shall be erected at ench end of the road or portion of the road to which the prohibition is to apply and at such other points as the Traffic Commissioner may determine.” ANTIGUA.
