tion that Sir KENNETH BLACKBURNE,

K.C.M.G., has been granted an exten-

sion of one month’s leave on medical

' grounds as a result of which Sir

KENNETH and Lady BLACKBURNE

will not return to the Colony until
about mid-November, 1955.

A PROCLAMATION.

ALEC LOVELACE,
Administrator.

WHEREAS under Section 3 of the
Cotton Planting (Regulation) Ordi-
nance 1931, (No. 1/1931) it is provided
that the Governor in Council may
from time to time by Proclamation
published in the Gazette and by Pub-
lic Notice, declare any period of each
year to be a close planting season
within the meaning of the said Ordi-
nance either for the whole Presidency
or for such urea or areas thereof as
may be specified in such Proclama-
tion; ©

NOW TH#REFORE 1, ALEC
LOVELACE, a member of the Most
Excellent Order of the British Em-
pire, Administrator of the Presidency
of Antigua, with the advice of the
Executive Council of the Presidency
of Antigua, do by this my Proclama-
tion declare that the period from the
16th day of Octuber, 1955, to the
15th day of August, 1956, inclusive,
shall be a close planting season with-
in the meaning of the said Ordinance
for the whole of the Presidency of
Antigua, excepting that area of land
situate at Friarg Hill under the con-
trol of the Central Cotton Station.

AND all Her Majesty’s loving sub-
jects in the said Presidency and all
others whom it may concern are
hereby required to take due notice
hereof and to give their ready obedi-
ence accordingly.

GIVEN at the Administrator’s Office,
Antigua, this 20th day of Sep-
tember, 1955, in the fourth year
of Her Majesty’s reign.

Notice is hereby given that in
pursuance of Rules made by the
Chief Justice under Section 16 of the
Windward Islands and Leeward
Islands (Courts) Order in Council,
1939, and duly approved as therein
provided on the 16th day of October
A.D. 1941, the Honourable the Puisne
Judge selected for the sitting of the
Court in the Antigua Circuit has
appointed the day of the month on
which the ensuing Circuit Court shall
sit as follows, that is to say:—

The Antigua Circuit on Monday
the 3rd October, 1955, at 10 o’clock
in the foreuoon.
