WHEREAS under Section 3 of the Cotton Planting (Regulation) Ordi- nance 1931, (No. 1/1931) it is provided that the Governor in Council may from time to time by Proclamation published in the Gazette and by Pub- lic Notice, declare any period of each year to be a close planting season within the meaning of the said Ordi- nance either for the whole Presidency or for such urea or areas thereof as may be specified in such Proclama- tion; © NOW TH#REFORE 1, ALEC LOVELACE, a member of the Most Excellent Order of the British Em- pire, Administrator of the Presidency of Antigua, with the advice of the Executive Council of the Presidency of Antigua, do by this my Proclama- tion declare that the period from the 16th day of Octuber, 1955, to the 15th day of August, 1956, inclusive, shall be a close planting season with- in the meaning of the said Ordinance for the whole of the Presidency of Antigua, excepting that area of land situate at Friarg Hill under the con- trol of the Central Cotton Station.
