_ An Ordinance to provide for the incorporation and
regulation of Building Societies.

ENACTED by the Legislature of Antigua.

1. This Ordinance may be cited as the
Building Societies Ordinance, 1955.

2. In this Ordinance, unless the context
otherwise requires—

‘‘ permanent society’ means a society which
has not by its rules any fixed date
or specified result at which it shall
terminate;

“ Schedule ” means Schedule to this Ordinance;
section’ means section of this Ordinance;

“society ’ means a building society established
under this Ordinance;
