Bublished by Authoritpr ~ = THURSDAY, l2ra MAY, 1955. | It is hereby notified for general information that His Excellency the Governor has approved, under section 19(1)(4) of the Pensions Act, No 12 of 1947, that officers who had hitherto elected to remain under the provi- sions of Cap. 130 may now revoke such election and may opt to come within the provisions of the Pensions Act, No. 12 of 1947, as amended, provided that they are under the age of fifty-five years on the 31st August, 1955, and that such option ig exercised in writing not later than that date. 2. Officers who elect to come within the provisions of the 1947 Pensions Act, as amended, will be subject to all the provisions of that Act, including section 8 under which an officer may be required to retire at any time after he attains the age of fifty-five years.
