Vehicles and Road Traffic 9 (Amendment). that failure to conform with the indication given by the sign shall constitute an offence and in such case the order of prohibition indicated by any sach sign shall have effect as if contained in a regulation under this vrdinance, and any person driving or propelling any vebicle who fails to conform with the indication given by any sign of that kind or description which has heen lav fully placed on any road or the retention of which has been authorised by the Traffic Commissioner shall be guilty of an offence. (10) Regulations made by the Trathic Commissioner under this section shall be of no force or effect until approved by the Governor in ‘Council and shall come into operation as from the date of the publica- tion thereof in the Gazeffe or from such later date as may be specified in such regulations. 765A. (1) Any person who— (a) shall, without the permission of the ‘irattic Coimmissioner, erect or cause to be erecied any trafic sign on or near any road, or (b) shall injure, deface, remove or in any manner interfere with any traffic sign lawfully placed on or near any road, shall be guilty of an offence. (2) The ‘Traffic Commissioner may, by notice in writing, require the owner or occupier of any land on which there is any traflic sign or any object which so closely resembles a traihe sign that it might reasonably be taken to be such a sign to remove it, and if any such person fails to comply with such notice, the Traffic Commissioner may himself ellect or authorise the removal, doing as little damage as may ANTIGUA.
