An Act to amend further the Pensions Act, 1947.

ENACTED by the Legislature of the Lee-
ward Islands.

1. This Act may be cited as the Pensions
(Amendment) Act, 1955, and shall be read as one
with the Pensions Act, Is 9.47, as amended, herein-
after called the Principal Act.

2. Seetion 2 of the Principal Act is hereby
amended as follows: —

(a) by the substitution of the words
“ Her Majesty's 3” for the words  ‘ Her
Maj.siy’? in the twenty-fifth line of the
definiti, i of “public service” in subsection
(1) thereof;

(6) by the substitution of the following
ubsection for subsection (2) thereof—

(2) Where the services of an
officer shall have been wholly under the
Government of a Presidency, the powers
vested in the Governor by this Act shall
be excrcised, unless the Governor in any
particular case otherwise directs, by the
officer for the time being administering
the Government of that Presidency.”;
