Instrue- tions to be observed by Admin- istratore and Com- missioners. 14 Now, therefore, as from the date of the coming into force of the Letters Patent, subject as mentioned in the proviso to clause 9 of these Instructions and in the proviso to paragraph (1) of Article 13 of the Letters Patent, We do hereby revoke the existing Instructions, but without prejudice to anything” lawfully done thereunder, and instead thereof We do hereby direct and enjoin and declare Our will and pleasure as follows:— Parr I Administration 1. The Governor may, whenever he thinks fit, require any person in the public service to take the Oath of Allegiance in the form set out in the Third Schedule to the Letters Patent, together with such other Oath or Oaths as may from time to time be prescribed by any laws in force in the Colony or in any of the Presidencies. The Governor shall administer such Oaths, or cause them tobe administered by some public officer. 2. The Governor shall ordinarily reside in the Presi- dency of Antigua except when the interest of Our service appear to him to require his presence in any other of the _ Presidencies. 3. Once at least in each year, at such time of the year as shall be found most convenient, the Governor shall visit each. of the Presidencies, other than the Presidency of Antigua, remaining in each of the Presidencies during such a period as he may consider necessary in the interests of Our service. 4. Such powers and authorities belonging to the Office of Governor as are for the time being exercisable by the Administrator or. Commissioner of a Presidency, shall, in respect of the administration of the Government of: such Presidency, be exercised by such Administrator or Commis- | sioner, subject to and in accordance with these Our Instructions and any general or special instructions which the Governor may from time to time think fit to give him for his guidance, and, in the case of a person appointed as Administrator or Commis-' sioner by the Governor, subject to and in accordance with the terms of his appointment, . ce a ap r Bt
