TI, considering that it is desirable that Monday the 3rd day of May, 1954, should be observed as a Bank Holiday in the Presidency of Antigua in the Colony of the Leeward Islands, and in pursuance of the provisions of the Bank Holidays Act (Cap. 114) do hereby, by and with the advice of the Executive Council of the said Colony, and in exercise of the powers con- ferred by the Act aforesaid, appoint Monday the 3rd day of May, 1954 as a special day to be reserved as a Bank Holiday in the said Presidency, under and in accordance with the said Act, and I do by this my Proclamation command thatthe said day to be so reserved and kept, and all Her Majesty’s loving subjects in the said ‘Presidency to order themselves accordingly. It is hereby notified for general information that postage stamps of the values specified below for use in the Presidency of St. Kitts, Nevis and Anguilla will be released for sale in that Presidency on the lst March, 1954:— 1 cent; 2 cents; 3 cents; 4 cents; 5 cents; 6 cents and 12 cents. The designs of these stamps are identical with those of the current main issue except that the Portrait of Her Majesty Queen ELIZABETH II replaces that of His Late Majesty King GEorGE VI. NOTICE IS HEREBY given that in pursuance of Rules made by the Chief Justice under Section 16 of the Windward Islands and Leeward Islands Courts Order in Council, 1939, on the 24th day of September, 1941, as amended, the Honourable the Puisne Judge selected for the sitting of the Court in the Montserrat Circuit has appointed the under- mentioned day on which the ensuing Circuit shall sit in the Presidency, that is to say:— On Monday the 8th day of March, 1954 at 11.00 o’clock in the forenoon.
