An Ordinance to amend further the Customs Duties Ordinance, 1927. BE [T ORDAINED by the Governor and Legislative Council of the Virgin Islands as follows:— 1. This Ordinance may be cited as the Short title. Customs Duties (Amendment) Ordinance, 1954, and shall be read as one with the Customs Duties 9/1927. Ordinance, 1927, as amended, hereinafter called the Principal Ordinance. 2. The Principal Ordinance is hereby amend- Insertion of, ed by the insertion therein immediately after tho Prinoipal section 18A of the following section as section Ordinance. 18B:— ; “18B. (1) Every resolution passed by Publication the Legislative Council in pursuance of the °f tesclutions, powers conferred by subsection (3) of section 4 aud section 184. of this Ordinance shall be published in the Gazette and shall take effect from the date of such publication. (2) A copy of every such resolution shall, as soon as practicable after the passing thereof, be posted on the door of the Treasury build- ing at Road Town, and of every court house, ° church, chapel, school-room, and such other building i in the Presidency as, in the opinion of the Collector of Sones will give publi- city to such resolution.” 3.
