The origins and development of the Elizabethan drama, exclusive of Shakespeare, with emphasis upon such major writers as Marlowe, Kyd, Chapman, Marston, Webster, and Jonson. Con- ducted by the laboratory method and private conference, with the aim of developing the student's writing talent and critical sense.
